Know their stuff I have a older car and was not in a hurry to get the work done. Communication was fine - again there was no rush to get the work done. Unfair practices I had my cv axles replaced at Seyfer. Shortly there after my cv axles were leaking and Seyfer was unwilling to work with me on the $1000 plus quote to fix the leak. I see that as poor customer service. Preston, the customer service representative is very nice and I think he has to do as the owners ask which appeared to be to suck the most money out of people. I am a hard working, lower middle class individual and it is unfortunate that a company is in it just to get as much money as possible. Very sad and I am disappointed that I have not yet found a mechanic that can be honest about what work my car needs and be willing to see when they are accountable for a wrong doing on their end. | |

I had very high hopes when I first called Seyfer for repair of my vehicle. I saw the high reviews on the web and thought perhaps I had found my new auto maintenance and repair home. I was told by my car dealer that I needed new shocks and struts on my vehicle. However, several people told me that was very strange for a vehicle with only 70k miles. So, I decided to get another opinion. My first conversation with Seyfer put enough doubt in my mind that I wanted them to have a look to make sure that's what I needed. So, I took my car in and it was determined that I could benefit from shocks and struts. It would take one day and the cost was comparable. Donny then upsold me on some fluid flushes, which I agreed to. So the total became more than $1,300. Fine. I believe you get what you pay for. Once I accepted the proposal and dropped off my car, the excellent customer service stopped. I called at the end of the day to see when I could pick up my car. I was then told it would take until mid-morning the next day.?! What ?! No one told me this. As a business owner, I plan my days far in advance. I was told that I should have known with all of the work being done that it would take more than one day. Except for the fact that I am not a mechanic or I would be fixing my own car. And I'm certainly not a mind reader! No problem, they said, they will put me in a rental car. So, I was given a rental car (hunk of junk) and drove that. Finally, at lunch time the next day, when I had heard nothing from them (again) I called to check on my car. I was told it would be done in an hour. So I ran and errand and two and a half hours later (giving them some extra time) I gassed up my rental car to take it back to them, only to be told that my car was still not ready. I understand sometimes things take longer than anticipated, but honestly, where is the communication? So, I had to take the rental car that I had just gassed up to return and drive it for the rest of the day, meaning I had to stop and gas it up again. How is this good customer care?I am in the service industry and I am not a difficult person. However, I am also a business owner and am busy and I expect that my time will be respected. It was not. The communication was not what it should have been and I was inconvenienced time and time again by Seyfer due to this lack of communication.It seems as though the work was done, but I don't know. had crank shaft sensor and battery replaced. Unknown age of battery, discussed with mechanic about taking the battery back to vendor. I did not get my battery back when I picked my car up.Service was quick, wish could have been educated about what to expect when I drove my car home, there was alot of smoke coming from my exhaust for that first day and was not sure if that was related to the repair or not.I called a few times to check on when the car would be done, I was told he did not know and I would be called back. Brought my son's old heap there because of issues it was having. The 46 point check up found many more things wrong than what I had suspected. Thanks for rescuing us, once again! Just so every one knows. I took my truck in to seyfer auto to get the clutch fixed. Ill spare the details, Long story short the truck was never fixed, I took it back to them 3 times, each time they just passed the buck. I hade to get rid of it and am still getting emails about taking my truck to them.... ha ha fat chance. I called Justin the night before I got the new battery because I was dead in my garage. AAA was coming and I thought they would have the battery and I wanted to know how much it should cost vs how much I was charged. Turns out AAA doesn't carry the battery I needed in my car so I called Justin back, he ordered a battery & said I could bring the car in the next day. I brought it in, they to order a different battery and it was ordered, delivered and installed within an hour. Great work! I got to work before I had told them I'd be there and the card is no longer stuttering! Thanks!! I recently had a new performance engine installed in my truck by Seyfer automotive. The cost was really high even for a performance engine, they ordered an Edelbrock Performer TBI for some reason they weren't able to get the same engine in a complete turn-key package with all the other components alternator, A/C compressor, power steering pump etc... The cost of the install was about 45% over the initial estimate, I had to bring it back to them 4 times in total to get things fixed, for some reason they couldn't problems resolved before they got it back to me. They were very ready to help me get a rental car though, though I had to pay for half of the cost. The final verdict is that with all the money that I put into it (over $10,000) it wasn't given back to me ready to run, whatever the cost. - Review by DemandForce.com | |

When I first brought my truck in, I was confident that the problem would get fixed, due to the trusted recomendations I had recived. Unfortanetly that was not the case I explaned my issues to the service department and they assured me that they could fix it. Well after 2 new clutches and 3 diffrent visits and $1300.oo I still Have the same problem that I did when I first brought my truck to seyfer auto. The last visit was the one tht really left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm a factory trained BMW technician, and recently moved to Colorado. My tools are still in storage, so when my Mazda failed the emission test, I couldn't diagnose it or undertake the repairs myself.Seyfer Automotive was recommended as one possible place to try. I want to first say that I am typically very impressed with Seyfer and the work they do. In this instance, I am disappointed. I was told $1500 dollars for brakes. I was able to do myself for $200. And, while walking around the facility with my children, never saw my vehicle on the lift or the wheels removed. Worst oil change experience. They over filled my oil, and my car over heated. Said that the oil level had nothing to do with car's perfomance. Said 20 quarts of oil in the car would make it run the same as the correct amount. They said dipstick reading means nothing, and that the professionals at subaru dont know what they are talking about. Want you car jacked up good! These guys really know what they are doing. I am a pretty active DIYer and have done just about every repair possible on a wide variety of vehicles. I worked for hours trying to get my classic Bronco running right after an engine build but could not get it right. Donnie and his guys found problems I had not identified and have it running excellent. I also know BS when I hear it but these guys are straight up and completely honest. Seyfer fixed my driver's seat (electric) -- seat would not go backward. When I checked with the Subaru dealership, they told me they would have to keep my car if they didn't have the part --(once they removed the seat, they would have to keep the car.
