I have been taking my cars to Kirkwood Auto for years. I have ALWAYS received excellent service that I know is done well. I have never had an issue with their work they do. They are friendly and helpful, and their customer service is fantastic! The technician always calls and explains all that may need to get done, and provides all the options, recommendations, and costs prior to the work. I can take advantage of the courier service to take me home if needed. I will always recommended Kirkwood Auto!!

I got my Cadillac serviced at Kirkwood Auto and had a great experience. I took the shuttle service and the shuttle was able to pick me up. Always great service

The only plact to service your car
I chose 5 stars because I can always count on an accurate diagnostic on my vehicle. Actually fleet of about 6-7 vehicles at any given time. I know when I leave there I have gotten service that I can trust. The people that work there are always courteous and understanding to all my needs, always willing to fit me in wherever possible. Service is good but they gouge you on parts pricing mark ups
I was charged $330 for a fuel pump that should have been no more than $150-175. We paid the same exorbitant pricing when we got the starter on my wife's car replaced at Kirkwood in 2014 with a RE-built starter, priced well over $300. That China-made part crapped out in just under a year. That is hard to take when you consider that the factory original starter lasted 10 years & 105 thousand miles.

Please Fix My Tire
I purchased 4 Bridgestone tires for my Infiniti about a year ago. recently I noticed I had a nail in one of my tires. On Monday morning I took my car to Kirkwood Auto at 7 am and was told they would call me after looking at it. At 11:30 am I called to see if they had any information and they still had not looked at it. They called me at 3:30 and told me the tire could not be fixed and offered to sell me another brand of tire because they did not have a Bridgestone in stock. Before they could tell me how much that would cost, I told them my tire should be covered and I wanted another Bridgestone. After having to check on that, I was told it was covered but the cost would be pro rated. Big difference between a new tire and a pro rated price. I had to bring my car back to the shop the next day an finally get my tire fixed. It only took 2 days. I previously bought tires from NTW and had the same tire problem, it took them 2 hours to get the problem fixed.

Always Excellent Service & Results.
I've been coming to Kirkwood Auto for the past 25 years and have always had excellent results. There is virtually no staff turnover among the 5-6 technicians that service customers. They always thoroughly discuss all work to be done ahead of time to get pre-approval and then explain the results. If they encounter anything unexpected during the servicing they always contact you (or talk to you if you're waiting)to present options. Safety of the vehicle is their primary concern which I greatly value, especially being a DuPonter. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else!

I needed a battery replaced quickly and did not want to go to my dealer because they are so over priced and I simply needed to get this done so that I could get to work. I had a flyer from Kirkwood Auto in my car and decided to call them. I told them what I needed and they said that they were very booked for the day, but if I could get in quickly that they should be able to get me out within less than an hour. I got there and they were super friendly and helpful. The person who took my call (who was not the reception person), overheard me when I came in to say what I needed and said that I didn't have an appointment but that it was fine to get my car in. The waiting area was neat and clean with coffee and tea available at no charge. There was also free wi-fi which was easy to connect to. They had me out in less than an hour and I paid no more than what I would have paid anywhere else. Will DEFINITELY go back for other service needs!

Transmission Problem
I'm not satisfied with the service done to repair the transmission problem with the Alero. Basically the service was performed but the problem still exists. I didn't expect to pay $377 and still have the problem. Unfortunately I'm unemployed and can't afford to pay that kind of money and not get any results. Now I have to go to a transmission specialist to get the problem fixed and have no idea what that's going to cost me. I'll now have to wait several months to have enough money to pay for the service and in doing so put the driver of the Alero at risk, mostly my 17 year old daughter.

Kirkwood auto went on and beyond to fix my car. The problem symptoms were not available on the road test so my problem was not able to be fixed do to testing as a result of tradition diagnostic problem solving. So they advised me off best available options for the car.

I recently went in to get my alignment fixed after being told by a previous mechanic that it wasn't working properly. I was quoted a very expensive cost for the fix that supposedly required new parts and was then told they wouldn't be able to look into the FULL issue until I already dropped the first payment on the parts and labor of service. The second part of the service in a "Worst-case scenario" was going to be triple the original cost given to me. I backed out from this price that was way out of my budget and took my car to a well known mechanic that is also a family friend, John. John was able to fix my alignment by simply torquing some of the parts. No new parts necessary. I was also informed by John that any issue regarding what was going on at first could've been figured out by performing simple diagnostics right then and there. After my visit to Kirkwood Auto I was not satisfied and very disappointed. I felt extremely taken advantage of, being that I am a young woman who went in by myself. The man trying to explain everything to me was only trying to scare me about the situation therefore quoting me an unnecessary amount of money. When my boyfriend came back in with me in order to get my keys back the same man ended up only addressing him about everything, not me, the owner of the car. I will personally never come back for the simple fact that I will not trust what someone tells me from there again. I saved myself over $2,000 by backing out from that situation.

Honest, reliable, friendly, professional, dead on time. I fully trust their judgement. If they say something needs to be fixed or changed on my car, I know it really needs to be fixed and it's not just some money-making scheme. Often, they even tell me how much longer I can get by before something needs fixing (for example breaks). This way I got another whole year out of breaks that were "running low" last year. I would never want to go anywhere else. My cars have a combined age of 33 years. I can just picture what would happen if I dropped them off at another garage that does not have Kirkwood Auto's work ethics. I would walk out with a $1000 list of so-called "repair recommendations". I mean it's a classic, right: Take a 19 year old car to the repair shop, and they will go to town.... Not at Kirkwood Auto. Just had my car inspected. It "needs" absolutely nothing. There's no question, the mechanics at Kirkwood Auto are excellent and courteous. But you'll pay for every service. Loyal customer for years? That's fine. But ask them to throw in an oil change on a $1200+ service, and you're out of luck. Their rates are high, and even a diagnostic (before they do a single thing to fix the car) is over $100, where other shops won't charge if you have the service done there. They went above and beyond to make sure I received the best price for my tires. However, they must have lost one of the valve caps and replaced it with one that does not match and also did not tighten the lug nuts to the proper ft/lbs torque. The hub cap cover that covers the lug nuts also fell off while driving up the driveway, but we were able to recover it and put it back on. I was really impressed with the products and service that I received on August 2, 2011. At a previous appt. for an oil change I was advised to get new tires soon. I was quoted a price for various options. I did some price checking before my appt. with you. You were competitive, but not the best price. Then you sent me a coupon for $40.00 off 4 tires. Kirkwood was able to get the part which was supposed to be a 1-day special order the same day. Only problem was that when I got the car and was driving home and used the window, it went down fine, but in closing it went all the way up and came back down about 5 inches. Had oil change done. Got home parked in my driveway, came out later to find numerous oil spots on concrete driveway. Looked under the Hood, found drivers side of frame covered with oil as well as battery tray full of oil. Either tech. Let filter drain down engine or spilled oil while refilling engine. Nice mess as fan whipped oil all around. Had to use engine cleaner to remove the oil from everywhere it was dripping from. Not Happy about spots in driveway. - Review by DemandForce.com

Brought my car in because it was acting "possessed". All lights on dash were coming on intermittently and car reamined running once keys were removed. The dealer had tried to repair in the past, but never located the actual source of the problem, despite a $3,000 bill. Kirkwood Auto had experienced this with a past customer, and knew what to look for. Along with Water Dr's they located 2 leaks that affected the electrical system, and were able to fix it! I went in to have some recommended work done on my 95 Taurus. When I checked in they said I did not have tohave it done that there was an error some how. I was pleased with that since I did not want a large bill. I had a leak of some kind. I also needed an oil change. They suggestednot doing the oil change, putting a dye in the system, driving around and come back at the end of the week. I appreciate there being honest with me and not doing the oil change, and then have to come back at a late date with the problem not solved and only getting worse. Kirkwood Auto Center is bright, clean and has free wi-fi while you wait. The desk personal are extremely friendly and make you feel at home when arriving for an appointment. The mechanic who worked on my car came out and sat next down next to me in the waiting room to talk to me about my car. He was polite and straight forward - not condescending at all. I've been here a few times now, and I like the level of service they provide - friendly, prompt and thorough. However, they are dealer-level expensive. My latest visit confirmed - $450 for transmission flush, coolant/brake fluid change. It would've been half that at a number of other places. Because of time/convenience issues I let them do it, but I had to hold my nose when paying! I was very impressed with the entire experience. My car as of this morning (the repair was made yesterday) is great. In case you didn't know, Kirkwood Auto has a shuttle service which solves a lot of headaches for the customer with only one driver or only one car in the family. The shuttle driver, Ray, is an excellent and very safe driver. My only negative comment would be with the troubleshooter/repair tech, he tried to tell me that Ford recommends that my titanium spark plugs needed to be replaced via a rather expensive job. I seemed to remember when I bought the car being told those plugs were good for 100,000 miles. So when I got home, I got out my owners manual and Ford recommends those plugs need to be changed at 100,000 miles, NOT the 65,000 miles as the tech said. Thankfully I didn't have him do that job. So make sure you're familar with what your cars manufacture recommends for things. But other than that, the work I did have them do was excellent. A new date/mileage sticker wasn't placed on the winshield. Was told that the Rewards program has been discontinued and coupons in paper, value mailer, etc. are better. I disagree because coupons are only for specific services; i.e. oil change, tires, etc. Whereby if I have a new serpentine belt installed for $130 I get nothing with coupons but would accrue dollars with the Rewards program. - Review by DemandForce.com
