Great place. They know what they are doing. Prices are fair for the kind of mechanics specialization. Waiting room is extremely clean, you feel that you are in your own living room. They promise a time and is always on time. Great coffee and European chocolate cookies. Highly recommend it!

Glen is very knowledgeable and friendly, he he can usually schedule an appointment within a day or two for normal maintenance matters. The shop is always neat and clean and the prices are well below Dealership prices, at least from my experience. My Lexus has yet to encounter any major problems, so after I experience a major repair, I can make that claim from a better position of knowledge. I would recommend this repair facility.

I started taking my car to North County Import on the advice of a colleague--boy was she onto something. Their service has been highly dependable over the years. I don't think I've ever been turned away because of scheduling--they always seem to be able to get to my car around my schedule. They are friendly and completely reliable. They also shoot straight--they'll let you know if a specific type of repair or car is not in their wheelhouse.

I started coming to NCIS and team Glenn with my 2002 Lexus when the warranty ran out. They were awesome. No complaints ever.
I bought my 2012 Lexus and did the same; stayed with the dealer until the warranty ran out. I should have gone directly to NCIS. They can do the warranty work and will never overcharge you or do unnecessary work. The dealer (will remain anonymous) advisor (Chris G.) was fair and then he was suddenly gone. I was forced to deal with the most sleazy unethical dealer advisor ever. Tried to convince me I needed $853.00 air conditioner valve. I declined. If I did not fix immediately, would do damage. My report said my brakes needed to be replaced immediately. Most items were immediate. He had multiple fake thank-you notes on his tackboard; which really set off my (I'm going to be ripped off because I'm a woman radar).
He was at the payment checkout counter offering me a 10% discount. I declined. I am a professional, educated, and savvy consumer. I research everything.
I called Glenn on Monday following that debacle. Basically told me there was no way to detect an air conditioner valve defect without taking apart the dashboard. My air conditioning was also working fine too.I brought my car to Glenn in because I was a bit nervous about the brakes. They were fine.
I just went back to Glenn for an oil change and new fob battery. Embarassed I ever paid so much for a battery at the dealer.
Skip the dealer. Go to Glenn. Lesson learned.

Brought my car in for its regular service of an oil change and expressed a concern with my alignment and/or balance of tires. Glenn immediately said it was a "balance" issue, but asked when the last time I had an alignment. I couldn't be sure, so we agreed to do the alignment in conjunction with getting the new tires balanced. Alignment done as was the balance. Problem solved!!! Happy Honda Owner/Driver!!! I've been using their services for over 7 years and I drive over 60 miles round trip to give them my business. Being a single woman, with an aging car, I have always trusted North County Import Specialist to steer me in the right direction. They provide clear, understandable explanations and recommendations on the issue, and are willing to look for a less expensive, alternative parts for the repair. They listen patiently, as I fumble through my explanation of weird engine noises, mystery car problems and always seem offer help and education without laughing at my descriptions and lack of knowledge!

I wont go anywhere else! I made the mistake of leaving and taking my car to another mechanic for servicing. The "other" Mechanic wanted to charge me over $1,200.00 for services they scared me into thinking I needed. I immediately called North County Import Specialist and explained what I was told. When I brought my car in they told me not to worry. Finding a great mechanic is like finding a great dentist. Rare, and be grateful when you do. I cannot say enough good things about Glenn and his shop North County Import. The service is terrific. His shop is always spotless and well-organized. He always makes time to accommodate emergency repairs. Lastly, I appreciate his honesty and I have learned through years of experience that I can trust him implicitly.

Great Professional Service My car needed brake work and a regular service. Glenn and his staff accomplished the task in about 2 hours while I waited in their very comfortable customer waiting area. I always know my car is getting the best service at North County Import Specialist and that I can trust them to give me that service at a fair price.

Most consistent and reliable service center Glen at North County has been 'my mechanic' for over 8 years to my Infinity SUV. He is the ONLY reason we have kept the car because it runs too good to consider buying a new car. We usually get a new car every 10 years, but not this time. It has 145,000 miles and runs perfectly. Glen is by far the best, most trustworthy mechanic we have dealt with. BTW, we used to own another type of car and one day we realized how much we were spending on maintenance at the dealer (they work on commissions!!!). When we purchased the new Infinity in 2003 we got lucky finding Glen through a referral of a stranger and we feel very fortunate and grateful that not everyone tries to gouge their customers. Glen, we appreciate you so much. Now it has become a challenge to see how many miles we can put on this car.

100% recommended I feel fortunate that I found North County Imports in 2008 when I purchased a car that they specialize in maintaining/repairing. I have always felt confident that the maintainance and repairs are done well and not excessive, and I've always felt comfortable hanging out in their waiting room and communicating to Glenn or Arturo about my car's needs.

Wouldn't trust anyone else... I have been taking my car to Glen since 2007. I wouldn't even consider purchasing a car that he didn't work on. Glen is the only reason I've been able to keep my 2003 Infiniti for so long. It runs great and I've never had a problem with it...and I believe it is because we stay on top of our services and Glen takes great care to do a thorough inspection and repair things before they become issues. There is no one I would trust with my car except Glenn (and Art). His shop waiting area is VERY clean and has a TV to pass the time. He has never run late or taken longer than he said he would in 6 years. His prices are fair and even if they weren't I'd take my car to Glen because it is worth the peach of mind that he gives me. He doesn't suggest repairs that aren't required (as the Chrysler dealer service department did with my Grand Cherokee). Yesterday when I did my Smog Check at a service station and the guy opened up the hood I felt as if I was cheating on Glen! I told him not to touch anything in that engine. Ha-Ha. Glen is a very nice guy too.

The best car car service in North County I have been taking my car to NCIS since 1993 when it was under a different name and located at a different location. Why? Because Glenn and his shop are the best in all North County, that's why. Repairs are always honestly diagnosed, there is no gouging, Glenn and his technicians are knowledgable and dependable. I witnessed one guy in the shop that got bad news about his car that broke down. Glenn was so sad about giving him the bad news and it clearly pained Glenn to do so. NCIS has HEART!

Outstanding, honest, quality service I have been going to Glenn for years. The things I appreciate the most are his honesty, the quality of his work, and the cleanliness of his shop. I especially appreciate his honesty. If there is an issue, he will present me with my options and when asked give a recommendation. More than once, he has either advised me not to spend the money on a repair or has provided a less expensive option but he never compromises on anything that affects the road worthiness of your vehicle. It is hard to find people like Glenn, but when you do, hang on to them.

Great I've always taken my camry to Toyota in Carlsbad. After being overcharged repeatedly, I received a recommendation to try out North County Imports. The quality of service was outstanding and price is very reasonable. They won me over on my first visit and I will be seeing them from this point forward for my Camry needs! I'm only sorry I didn't find out about them sooner.

Need room to add one more star in each category. I always receive quick, courteous attention when having my vehicle serviced or repaired at North County Import Specialist. I know that I will be notifed of items needing repair or service, but not told that items need repair or service when it is not necessary. I respect that confidence that North County Import Specialist has instilled in me, and would recommend their service to everyone.
